QUESTION 3: What I have learnt from my audience feedback.

My music video seems to have affected my target audience in a way that makes them feel slightly saddened as the music combined with the images shown is slightly depressing and not as upbeat compared to other music genres. However this was not unexpected.
My audience had to draw on their own life experiences and knowledge using culture capital in order for them to come to conclusions as to why she appeared to be so upset and why she was wearing particular clothing to be in keeping with the genre and time of filming.
Using David Morley theory on cultural studies I would say that my audience are taking a preferred reading to the text they have just seen.  This is due to them not becoming angered by the video or questions being raised dues to them opposing the contents of my video.

IF I WAS GOING TO ALTER  MY WORK:
- If I could re do my music video taking into consideration the audience feedback I would possibly stick to just using one colour tone throughout-probably the black and white as I felt it was more effective in connoting how isolated and lonely the girl was.
- I may also have used a different person as the audience would have preferred more lip synching so using a natural performer may have improved the quality of the lip synching.
